Daring Deb's Peanut Sauce
Deb H. created this recipe from scratch as part of a flavour-building exercise during her Oh Peas 3day Reset. It's a mellow, well-balanced and flavourful sauce that's perfect not only with rice wraps, it's an up-leveller for brown rice and steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup peanut butter, organic smooth, peanuts only
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated or minced
- 1 tsp garlic, grated
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp tamari
- 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/4 cup+ water, as needed to thin
Instructions
-
Put all ingredients into a pot.
-
On medium low heat, cook until thoroughly heated, allowing the garlic and ginger to infuse – approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
-
This sauce thickens easily, and depending on your peanut butter, can get very thick very fast so add more water, as needed, to created desired consistency.
