Dreamy Strawberry Shake

This shake is simply too easy not to try. Great for breakfast or as a snack, it’s almost a dessert. It’s entirely whole food, plant-based and nourishing.

Dreamy Strawberry Shake

Have five minutes? That's about how long it takes to put this recipe together. It's easily a breakfast for two (or one 'Eli-sized' portion) and equally delightful as a treat/snack. Be sure to choose a sweeter apple (Gala or similar) for this one.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 apple, cored, chopped
  • 1/4 cup *oat flakes
  • 1/4 cup *almonds or cashews
  • 2 tsp flax seeds or chia, or hemp hearts
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. I know this is going to seem really hard, but put all your ingredients into your blender, then blend until the creamy smooth. Enjoy immediately. 

    Dust with some cinnamon or top with a mint leaf to sexify your bevvie.

  2. *Note: depending on your blender, you may wish to pre-soak your oats and almonds or cashews in water for 30 to 60 minutes to soften. This will create an even creamier shake. I am usually in too much of a hurry and just blend and enjoy.
